Healing Trauma, Culture, & Diverse Relationships
I work with teens, individuals, and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the often invisible weight of cultural or family expectations. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy with me offers a space to reconnect with your authentic self and create meaningful change.
Many of the people I work with have had to navigate environments where they didn’t feel fully seen or understood—because of their neurodivergence, cultural identity, or simply the complexity of who they are. I have a deep passion for working with multiracial and multicultural couples as they navigate identity, belonging, and communication. I also support LGBTQ+ and non-traditional partnerships who want to strengthen connection and understanding in their relationships.
When Life Feels Heavy: Support for Anxiety, Depression, and Life Transitions
Life can be a lot. One minute you're pushing forward, and the next you're feeling weighed down by decisions, workplace stress, or tension in your closest relationships. Maybe you find yourself overthinking everything, unsure of the next step, and exhausted from trying to keep it all together.
We all end up in that place sometimes. Reaching out for support takes more courage than most people give themselves credit for. Whether you’re going through a life change, feeling stuck in anxiety or burnout, or trying to understand why your motivation has disappeared, I’m here to help you slow down and sort through what’s going on underneath the surface. Sometimes there’s more to it than we realize, and part of our work is figuring that out together—so you can move forward with purpose and clarity.
My Approach:
I bring a warm, grounded presence into the therapy room. I’m curious about your inner world, and I believe in making space for real conversations. I’ll offer you the compassion to feel safe exploring what’s going on—and the direction to help you make changes that matter in your everyday life.
EMDR for Trauma and Nervous System Relief
I’m trained in EMDR, a research-supported method for processing trauma. I use EMDR with teens and adults who are ready to shift painful experiences, calm the nervous system, and let go of old beliefs that no longer fit. It’s a powerful process that helps clients feel lighter, more present, and more connected to themselves.
Specializing in Diverse & Neurodivergent Relationships
I hold a special focus on supporting all kinds of partnerships. I work effectively with:
Multi-racial Couples
Navigating complex Cultural Dynamics
Neurodivergent Individuals & Relationships
LGBTQ Couples
Non-Traditional Relationships
Communication Challenges and Emotional Intimacy
Healthy relationships are built on mutual understanding. I help partners navigate issues like communication breakdowns, identity differences, and improving both emotional and physical intimacy.
Working with Teens and Families
In addition to individual and couples work, I co-facilitate the Teen Girls Group on Thursday nights at our Heights Location.
When working with individual teens, I act as a bridge between parents and teens. While I believe the privacy of teen sessions is essential for building rapport and trust, I involve parents as much as I can to create continuity and lasting change. This ensures both the teen feels seen in session and the family unit benefits from improved understanding and communication at home.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, I find joy in slow mornings with a good book, tending to my plants, and trying out new restaurants around Houston. I also enjoy anime and other creative outlets, and love connecting with clients over shared interests—whatever yours might be.
Let’s connect and begin the work of creating space for healing, clarity, and growth.
“The path to healing begins with honoring the full spectrum of who you are—your past, your culture, your story.”
