Clinician

Responsibilities

You will be a central player in creating your schedule. At The Flourishing Way, you get to own your schedule and client list, maintaining an average of 21-25 client-hours per week with both afternoon and evening availability. Micromanaging is not our style. Instead, you are a co-creater who gets to create the future of The Flourishing Way and build your reputation as a skilled therapist in the Houston area.

Qualifications & Skills

  • LPC, LMFTA, or LCSW certified

  • 3-5 years experience taking clients in various settings, private practice, clinical practices, and more.

  • A “yes” for taking on a variety of different clients that challenge your skillset and help you grow. You like the thought of no day being the same.

  • You’re a self starter who sees “problems” as an opportunity to get curious about a number of different solutions you could implement.

  • You are excited about being a part of a team. Whether you went into private practice and missed the team element, or just haven’t found a team you love, you love the idea of being in the driver's seat while also having the support of an experienced team.

  • You are always looking for opportunities to grow, personally and professionally.

  • You want to bring your focus back to the work you love: your clients.

  • Ability to confidently take complicated or large families and help them sort through a systems-based solution that works for them.

  • You are excited about getting a variety of different clients: teens, parents, families, and high-performing adults.

  • Engaging interpersonal communication skills. At The Flourishing Way, everyone is empowered to be the leader of their life, their schedule, their client load. With a team to support you, communicating your needs is key to your success.

  • Readiness to work on multiple different client cases

  • Commitment to high-level time management and organizational skills, including maintaining your SimplePractice availability calendar and communicating your ever-evolving interests and areas where you want to grow.

  • RYT certification is a plus

Group Leader/Clinician

Responsibilities

You will be a central player in leading our teen and young adult groups, guiding them through yoga, mindfulness-based activities, and community creation. Micromanaging is not a word we use at The Flourishing Way. As  the group leader, you will be the go-to for creating engaging experiences that meet the people in the room where they are. You are a co-creater who gets to create the future of The Flourishing Way through individual sessions and groups.

Qualifications & Skills

  • LPC, LPC-A, LMFTA, or LCSW certified

  • RYT certified

  • Your friends always ask you to engage and lead groups, whether it’s a birthday party or conference. You have a natural zest for engaging with people in a group setting—and people notice. You may have  taken Clifton/Gallup strengthsfinder a time or two and “woo” is one of your top strengths.

  • You love engaging groups and being around people.

  • You have an unsatiated curiosity for understanding people.

  • You aren’t afraid to stand up in front of people and be yourself.

  • You have a personal mindfulness practice, including meditation or yoga.
