Therapist for Burnout, Anxiety & Moms in Houston, TX

Reaching out for therapy is a powerful act of courage, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I’m here to offer you a calm, thoughtful space where you can truly feel heard and supported.

As a second-career therapist in Houston, TX, I bring a blend of warmth, insight, and real-life experience to our sessions. I made the shift into counseling after spending a significant part of my career in accounting and finance. Because of this personal journey, I deeply understand the intense pressure that leads to professional burnout, the anxiety of realizing your current career isn't fulfilling, and the process of navigating a major career change or identity shift.

My practice is dedicated to adults, older adults, and moms who are navigating anxiety, depression, career changes, or the stress of motherhood. Whether you're wrestling with the weight of burnout or the uncertainty of leaving a familiar path, my role is to walk with you with steadiness and care.

My Approach: Practical Tools, Depth Work, and Enneagram Insight

Clients often describe me as collaborative and insightful. I honor where you are while gently inviting you to look at patterns that may be holding you back.

I integrate a blend of practical tools and depth work to address the issues that keep you stuck. Drawing from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic theory, and existential perspectives, we work together to gain deeper awareness and find concrete ways to shift persistent patterns with greater self-compassion.

I also have a special interest in the Enneagram, which is a powerful tool for self-understanding. We can use it as a lens to help you understand your core motivations, relate better to others, and find a clearer sense of meaning and authenticity in your life.

Special Focus on Maternal Mental Health

A significant part of my work is focused on parenthood and maternal mental health. As a wife and mom to three daughters, I understand the unique emotional load, identity shifts, and demands of motherhood and caregiver burnout.

I believe healing happens when you feel both supported and gently challenged in ways that open the door to growth. If you’re considering therapy, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that journey. I work under the supervision of Jill Tucker, LPC-S.

Community Support Matters: Group for Mothers

Beyond individual therapy, I facilitate a supportive counseling group for mothers in Houston, "Rediscover You: Support for Moms Through Life's Shifts." This group is a space to connect with other moms, explore your journey, and reclaim your sense of self amid life transitions.
