Moms Support Group
Rediscover You at The Flourishing Way
Led by Kate Tamminga
Motherhood changes you. Between caring for everyone else, managing the day-to-day, and moving through each new stage, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself. Many moms find themselves feeling stretched thin, disconnected, or unsure of who they are beyond the role they carry every day. If that feels familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
This therapist-led moms support group in Houston (77008) offers a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself alongside other women who understand. Together, we explore the shifts that come with motherhood, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and create room for you to feel more grounded, clear, and supported in this season of life.
Why Group?
Connection is key.
Group support offers something that’s hard to recreate on your own. Being in a room with other women who are navigating similar stages of motherhood can bring a sense of relief that doesn’t come from advice or problem-solving, but from feeling understood. Research continues to show that women tend to regulate stress, process emotion, and build resilience through close, supportive relationships. When those relationships are missing or feel surface-level, it can leave many moms feeling more alone than they expected.
Motherhood also marks a developmental shift known as matrescence, a period of ongoing change in identity, relationships, and emotional life. Just like adolescence, it can feel disorienting at times. Roles evolve, priorities shift, and the way you see yourself may not quite match who you used to be. At the same time, many women notice their social circles changing. Friendships may look different, time becomes limited, and opportunities for deeper connection can feel harder to access.
Group creates space for that connection to rebuild. It offers a place where conversations can move beyond the surface, where shared experiences help normalize what you’re going through, and where you can stay connected to yourself while also connecting with others. Over time, that kind of support can make a meaningful difference in how you move through motherhood.
