Camp Flourish is a transformative summer camp experience designed to help your tween thrive emotionally and socially. Led by Lauren Richardson and Liz Duston, our program focuses on building self-esteem, improving peer relations, and promoting mindfulness.

Lauren Richardson LMFT-Associate

Lauren Richardson, is the Program Manager for Camp Flourish at The Flourishing Way. Passionate about empowering children and tweens, Lauren helps create transformative experiences that foster growth, confidence, and connection.
With a wealth of knowledge and creativity, she ensures each camper’s journey is both meaningful and fun, supporting them in flourishing in all aspects of life. Through her leadership, Camp Flourish provides a safe and enriching space for kids to explore, learn, and thrive during our week-long adventures.

Liz Duston, Practicum Student
Supervised by Jill Ahrens Tucker, LPC-S
Liz Duston is an intern at the Flourishing Way. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, Liz was a writer and artist under the art duo Cuddles and Rage. She has led workshops for kids and adults for over a decade, using mixed-media art forms to explore emotions and creativity. Liz encourages clients to explore and develop their creativity as a pathway to growth. She has worked with HarperCollins, NPR, The Washington Post, the National Building Museum, Science Channel, TLC, and QuirkBooks. Liz is also an award-winning filmmaker, with a body of work that includes documentaries and animated short films.
