If you’ve been craving a space to slow down, quiet the mental noise, and reconnect with yourself in a way that actually feels grounding, this group was created with you in mind.
Crochet for Healing is more than a crochet class and different from a traditional therapy group. It’s a therapist-led space that combines mindfulness, nervous system support, emotional processing, and creative expression in a way that feels calming, approachable, and deeply human.
Many people today live in a constant state of overstimulation. Our minds stay busy, our nervous systems stay activated, and even rest can start to feel hard. This group offers an opportunity to step out of that cycle through the gentle, repetitive rhythm of crochet paired with therapeutic reflection and connection.
Research continues to show that repetitive handwork and mindful creative practices can help calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve focus, and support emotional regulation. Activities like crochet engage the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain connected to attention, problem solving, and emotional balance, while also supporting neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new patterns and pathways over time.
For many people, crafting becomes more than a hobby. It becomes a way to regulate, process, breathe, and feel present again.
You do not need any crochet experience to join.
